The people of the North East are no doubt among the proudest across the whole of the Uk, taking any opportunity either locally or further afield to talk about their communities jam packed with history and heritage.

But just how well do you know the region itself, as well as the folklore and ancient legacies that have happened here?

Here at Chronicle Live, we've put together a quiz compiling of 50 North Eastern questions for you to test your knowledge against - from famous faces who have put the region on the map, to thriving businesses and local monuments which locals love making the most of.
