Let me provide a very quick update on the controversy over the Warda Han paper in Proteomics. That's the one that included references to the "mighty creator" and was pulled by the publishers amid allegations of plagiarism.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I sent over a set of detailed questions to the editor-in-chief Prof Michael Dunn about what went wrong in the peer-review process (he had already told me that at least two reviewers looked at it).
As per previous form, I received an information-lite reply, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway:
"I received your follow up questions and these matters are being addressed internally and any comments will be addressed to the readers of the journal in due course," wrote Virginia Foley, associate director of public relations with Wiley-Blackwell in an email.
I suspect there will be a few bloggers watching future issues like hawks.
