How TUI, EasyJet, Ryanair, Jet2 flights will look with no hand luggage, snacks removed and keys for toilet

Budget airlines set to resume flights this month have been forced into making some big changes.

TUI will be relaunching its holidays from July, with carriers EasyJet and Ryanair also set to resume flight schedules and ramp up services.

But Birmingham Mail report travellers will experience some big rule changes on their trips abroad once lockdown is lifted entirely.

The Department for Transport is ordering carriers to tell customers NOT to take any hand luggage on flights.

Airlines are also extensively cleaning planes in response to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, with hand sanitiser available, and increased handwashing for staff.

Passengers temperatures are being taken by Ryanair, with a menu shake-up seeing only wrapped food and drink items available.

Passengers will also have to request access to toilets, which will be cleaned more regularly.

Its rival EasyJet, meanwhile, claims no food whatsoever will be on offer.

Tim Alderslade, chief executive of Airlines UK, said: “They demonstrate how airlines can apply targeted and multi-layered measures to ensure air travel is safe for customers and crew.

“The guidelines pave the way for the introduction of air bridges, and there is no reason we shouldn’t be getting clarity from Government on when and how these will be established over the coming days.”
