How Tottenham players reacted to Burnley postponement as Sergio Reguilon sends five-word verdict

Tottenham's Premier League fixture against Burnley has been called off due to adverse weather conditions.

The Clarets' Turf Moor pitch was covered in heavy snow overnight and this morning, with the game eventually postponed after failing a late inspection.

Spurs' statement read: "We can confirm that today’s match against Burnley has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions."

Both sides had already named their respective starting XIs before the decision was made to call off the game and it is currently unclear when the match will be rescheduled considering the Lillywhites play in each of the next five midweeks before January's two-week winter break.

Left-back Sergio Reguilon and right-winger Lucas Moura took to Twitter following the announcement.

"See you another day Burnley," Reguilon said whilst attaching a selfie of him alongside the snow.

Meanwhile, former Paris Saint-Germain frontman Moura tweeted the word cold 12 times accompanied by a number of frozen emojis.

Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte claimed that he was frustrated that he can't see his team play but also admitted that the decision was the right one considering the risk of injury could increase in the snow.

"I think in these conditions it's not football," Conte said. "I want to play football, I want to have fun, to play and to give emotion.

"I think in this situation, it's impossible and there is serious risk for the players to take injury and this is not good."

Spurs will quickly turn their attention to Thursday night's must-win clash against Brentford as they look to build some momentum in the league following last weekend's 2-1 victory against Everton.
