CM Punk is aiming to become a WWE world champion for the first time in over a decade as he headlines Summerslam tonight.
Punk, who made a shocking return to the company at WWE Survivor Series in late 2023 following a 10-year absence, challenges Gunther for the World Heavyweight title in a singles match.
Earning this opportunity by winning a gauntlet match on the July 14 episode of WWE Raw, Punk will hope to fare better in this title bout having lost his Undisputed WWE championship match against John Cena at Night of Champions at the end of June.
The newly-crowned Queen of the Ring, Jade Cargill is the number one contender for Tiffany Stratton's WWE Women's championship, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez defend the WWE Women's tag team titles against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
Elsewhere on the card, Roman Reigns returns to action for the first time since WrestleMania 41 as he fights alongside Jey Uso to take on the challenge of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
That is another high-profile tag team match on the card as singer Jelly Roll makes his in-ring debut as Randy Orton's partner against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul.
