Jan Blachowicz aims to defend his Light Heavyweight belt for the second time next month when he faces MMA veteran Glover Teixeira at UFC 267.
Blachowicz won the belt that was vacated by Jon Jones in August 2020, after Jones cited his desire to compete at heavyweight.
The Warsaw-born fighter became champions by defeating Dominick Reyes by technical knock-out at UFC 253 in what was the Performance Of The Night.
He has defended his belt on one occasion since against the previously undefeated Israel Adesanya at UFC 259.
His upcoming opponent Glover Teixeira, 41, was defeated by Jon Jones in his only previous shot at the Light Heavyweight belt in 2014.
Teixeira has put in admirable displays in the past couple of years, most notably his rear-naked choke victory over Ion Cutelaba and his 5th round TKO win over Anthony Smith.
How to watch UFC 267 on UK TV
The upcoming UFC PPV will take place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, October 30.
For US viewers it will be the first free-to-air UFC event since UFC 138 in 2011. For UK viewers, it's location means that it will be available to watch on BT Sport at the usual time of 4pm.
