How to watch Treadstone in the UK - the TV series based on the Bourne films

A TV series based on the Bourne film series is heading to the UK this month.

The Matt Damon fronted franchise debuted in 2002 and has since released a further four films which have collectively grossed more than one billion dollars worldwide.

The show based on the film debuted in the US in late 2019 and will be released globally in early 2020.

If you want to watch the show you can find out how below.

How can I watch it in the UK?

The series debuted in the US in late 2019 and will head to the UK on January 10.

Viewers can only watch the series via Amazon Prime Video who will release all of the episodes at once.

You can sign up for Amazon Prime for a 30-day free trial and watch the entire series during the free trial and cancel it before you're charged.

Or alternatively you can keep your Amazon Prime subscription to watch other films and TV shows included on the service.

Who's in it?

The show stars Jeremy Irvine, best known for War Horse, in the lead role of John Randolph Bentley.

He'll star alongside Tracy Ifeachor, Omar Metwally, Han Hyo-joo and Brian J. Smith.

What's the plot of Treadstone?

The Amazon synopsis says: "From the world of Jason Bourne and created by Tim King (Heroes, Touch) Treadstone is action-packed thriller following nearly superhuman assassins across the globe".

But as the show has aired in the US we have more of an idea of what the show is about as it explores Treadstone's legacy and begins in East Berlin in 1973 as John Randolph Bentley (Irvine) one of the program's agents escapes his Soviet captors.

The story then zooms to the present day, following a group of agents being 'awakened' after a moment of high tension to resume their deadly missions.

The program breaks down these assassins' personalities, erases their memories and eliminates their moral code so they can kill targets around the world.
