The No. 15 Texas Longhorns head to Fort Worth to face TCU in a Big 12 matchup Saturday afternoon. Texas won, 31-16, last year in Austin and lead the all-time series. The Horned Frogs have won the last two meetings at home, including a 24-7 victory in 2017.

A week after a 34-27 loss to Oklahoma in the Red River Showdown, it took a game winning field goal for the Longhorns and 658 yards of total offense to beat Kansas 50-48 at home. Quarterback Sam Ehlinger is an elite playmaker throwing or running the ball. Ehlinger threw for 399 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception, and also rushed for 91 yards. Keontay Ingram added to the run total with 101 yards and one touchdown. Four wide receivers had over 70 yards, including Devin Duvernay, who reeled in eight catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns. Collin Johnson brought in eight balls for 96 yards.

In back-to-back weeks, the Texas defense has surrendered over 500 yards of total offense. Kansas quarterback Carter Stanley threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns, in addition to 65 yards rushing. Pooka Williams Jr. totaled nearly 200 yards rushing on 25 carries and two touchdowns. Brandon Jones led the Longhorns defense with 10 tackles, while Byron Vaughns and Joseph Ossai each had eight.

TCU started the season 3-1, but have lost its last two games, including a 24-17 defeat at Kansas State. Quarterback Max Duggan threw for 132 yards and rushed for another 115. He has 874 yards passing this season with nine touchdowns and nine interceptions. The Horned Frogs running game posted 228 total yards last weekend and should be the Longhorns’ defense key focus.

Defensively, Kansas State totaled 284 yards of offense in its win. Garrett Wallow led TCU with eight tackles. Wallow is one of the best linebackers in the conference and has 63 tackles on the season, more than double the next closest defender on the team. This is a loaded Texas offense that poses a challenge to any unit and Saturday will be no different.
