Houston (5-3) and Jacksonville (4-4) meet in an AFC Showdown across the pond Sunday morning in London. The Texans won Round 1 of this matchup, 13-12, in Week 2 after the Jaguars failed to convert a two-point conversion that would have given them the lead. This is the second time Houston has played in London and is 0-1, while the Jaguars are 3-3 and have played there every year since 2013.

The Texans offense played catch up for most of their 27-24 home win against Oakland. Deshaun Watson completed 27 of 39 passes for 279 yards, three touchdowns, and added 46 yards rushing for the fourth-ranked offense in the NFL (395 YPG). DeAndre Hopkins racked up 109 yards on 11 catches, while Darren Fells picked up 58 yards and two scores, including a nine-yard reception that gave Houston the first lead of the game with six minutes left in the game. Watson made some incredible plays and made defenders miss. Can the Jaguars line put pressure on the versatile quarterback and how will the secondary match up with Hopkins and the talented receiving corp?
Defensively, Houston will be without star defensive end J.J. Watt, who will miss the remainder of the season due to a pectoral injury. Watt had 24 tackles and four sacks this year but it is always a nightmare for opposing teams to guard. His loss will have an impact on the Texans defense, which didn’t have any sacks or interceptions against the Raiders. Houston is fifth in rush defense this season and will have a tough task trying to stop Leonard Fournette, one of the best backs in the NFL.
Jacksonville has won its last two games, including a 29-15 home victory against the Jets last weekend. “Minshew Mania” continues to swirl around Duval County. Quarterback Gardner Minshew completed 22 of 34 passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns. Leonard Fournette, who recorded his third 100+ yard game against Cincinnati, rushed for 76 yards, with 66 of those coming on the second play of the game. Fournette is ranked second in the NFL with 791 yards this season, while the team ranks fifth with an average of 136.5 YPG. Chris Conley led the team with four catches for 103 yards and one touchdown.
No Jalen Ramsey, no problem. The Jaguars’ defense harassed Jets quarterback Sam Darnold consistently. Darnold was picked off three times and sacked eight, while the rushing game was held to just 46 yards. A.J. Buoye led the team with six tackles and one interception. Tre Herndon, Josh Allen and Yannick Ngakoue each had two tackles and two sacks. Over the last three weeks, opponents have been held to an average of 15 points.
