The Jacksonville Jaguars will be taking the field for their second preseason game of 2019, but this time it will mark their home opener. Unfortunately, it sounds like most of the starters will sit as Doug Marrone told the media that the first-team has been seeing a lot of reps in practice.
All that said, quarterback Nick Foles likely won’t be taking the field against his old team in the Philadelphia Eagles, which means rookie Gardner Minshew II will have to rally the troops after a forgettable 29-0 Week 1 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Needless to say, he was apart of the team’s struggles after going 7-of-14 for 46 yards, but Week 2 will mark a new opportunity for him to establish himself as the No. 2 quarterback on the roster.
