The Seattle Seahawks close out their preseason Thursday night when they take on the Oakland Raiders at CenturyLink Field. The game will mark the 14th year in a row the teams have battled each other in their final exhibition games of the summer.
Starters on both teams are not expected to see much – if any – time on the field, with mostly backups competing and making their final push to make the 53-man rosters ahead of the start of the regular season.
All clubs must trim their squads to 53 players no later than 1:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, Aug. 31. Teams can establish a practice squad of 10 members starting Sunday.
