Hong Kong were not in action on the first day of the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Berlin on Wednesday, but the city’s cyclists are expected to be involved until the finish on March 1.

Sarah Lee Wai-sze leads the 11-strong team and several of those riders are hoping to book their Tokyo 2020 tickets with the Olympic challenger, who also defends the keirin and sprint titles in the German capital.

This is the last chance for all of the 400 riders in Berlin, including Hong Kong’s six women and five men, to get points and improve their rankings before the cut-off on March 2.

Here’s how to see London 2012 hero Lee and her teammates as they aim for another Olympic Games.

How can I watch the UCI Track Cycling World Championships?

TVB should have the rights to broadcast in Hong Kong after striking a deal with the cycling association, on the myTV SUPER channel and app.

However, the UCI also live stream the full competition via their official YouTube channel, which should be accessible in Hong Kong when TVB are not broadcasting.

When are the Hong Kong riders in action?

Sarah Lee and Jessica Lee Hoi-yan get Hong Kong under way with the women’s sprint qualifiers at 2.53pm (9.53pm Hong Kong time) on Thursday.

The women’s sprint then races at 3.58pm, 4.50pm and 6.58pm on Thursday before the finals at 8.51pm on Friday (3.51am Saturday, Hong Kong time).

Also on Thursday, Mow Ching-yin will race in the men’s scratch at 7.57pm (2.51am Friday, Hong Kong time).

Leung Ka-yu races in the men’s omnium, which begins at 12.16pm on Saturday. The other three races are at 2.33pm, 5.51pm and 7.02pm (2.02am Sunday, Hong Kong time).

The women’s pair of Pang Yao and Leung Po-yee go in the madison at 5.10pm on Saturday (12.10am Sunday, Hong Kong time).

The men’s madison pair of Cheung King-lok and Leung Chun-wing race at 3.03pm on Sunday (10.03pm Hong Kong time).

The women’s points race, which will feature Hong Kong’s Yang Qianyu, takes place at 2.02pm on Sunday.

Lee and Lee are also back in the women’s keirin on Sunday. The first round is at 11.08am (6.08pm Hong Kong time), with a repechage round at 11.49am, quarter-finals at 2.47pm and the semis at 4.03pm.
