How to Watch Saints vs. Jaguars, NFL Live Stream, Schedule, TV Channel, Start Time

The New Orleans Saints (4-1) head to Jacksonville (2-3) to take on the Jaguars Sunday afternoon. New Orleans has proven itself a playoff contender early this season, while Jacksonville is hoping to ride Minshew Mania to a home victory. The Saints lead the all-time series 4-2, including a 38-27 home win the last time these two teams met in 2015.

Several power rankings have the Saints as one of the best teams in the NFL this season. After losing quarterback Drew Brees in a 27-9 loss to the Rams, New Orleans is 3-0. The man at the helm is Teddy Bridgewater, who has filled in seamlessly for the future Hall of Famer. Bridgewater completed 26 of 34 passes for 314 yards, a career-high four touchdowns, and one interception. Alvin Kamara led the team with 62 yards rushing, while Michael Thomas accounted for 182 yards receiving and two scores. Thomas’ yearly total of 543 yards is the best in the NFL this season. If the Jaguars are without All-Pro cornerback Jalen Ramsey for the third consecutive week, it could be a long afternoon for their defense.

The Saints’ defense showed up and silenced a Buccaneers team that put up 55 points the week prior against the Rams. Jameis Winston was sacked six times in the game and the passing game was virtually nonexistent.  No Tampa Bay running back accounted for more than 35 yards on the ground too. Demario Davis and P.J. Williams each notched seven tackles, while defensive end Marcus Davenport picked up two tackles and two sacks.

Gardner Minshew fever continues to sweep across Jacksonville as each week passes. Minshew completed 26 of 44 passes for 374 yards and two touchdowns. DJ Chark is quickly emerging as a starter for the Jaguars. Chark had the best receiving game of the season with eight catches for 164 yards and two touchdowns despite the team’s, 34-27, loss at Carolina. Leonard Fournette posted his second straight game over 100 yards rushing with a total of 108 yards. Last week against Denver, Fournette carried the ball 29 times for 225 yards. That production is a welcome sign for the Jaguars.

Defensively, the Jags were able to contain quarterback Kyle Allen, but wrapping up the league’s top rusher in Christian McCaffrey was a different story. McCaffrey rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to 61 yards receiving and another score. Myles Jack led the team with nine tackles, while rookie Josh Allen notched six tackles and a sack. Defensive end Yannick Ngakoue recorded four tackles and two sacks in the game.
