How to Watch Real Valladolid vs. Real Madrid, La Liga Live Stream, Schedule, TV Channel, Start Time

Real Valladolid was the first team in La Liga this season to take points off Real Madrid, and Sergio Gonzalez’s men will be eager to slow its charge towards the title on Sunday. Sergi Guardiola’s 88th-minute equalizer at the Santiago Bernabeu secured a 1-1 draw for Valladolid in August, but it’ll have painful memories of last season’s 4-1 humiliation at home to Real.

Valladolid hasn’t beaten Los Blancos on their own soil since Nov. 2008 and has lost three of four meetings at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla since then. Los Pucelanos haven’t won in La Liga since the beginning of November and are riding a streak of three top-flight draws into Week 21.

Real, on the other hand, remains tied with Barcelona at the top of the standings and are unbeaten in 18 games (12 wins) across all competitions entering this fixture. That includes back-to-back league victories over Getafe and Sevilla.

Valladolid sits 15th in the table and six points above relegation for the time being, though its wait of more than three months for a win will be a grave concern. Gonzalez’s side has drawn each of its last three league outings, while a second-string lineup played in the Copa del Rey’s last 32 on Wednesday following a 2-1 defeat at Tenerife.

On Thursday, Real confirmed captain Sergio Ramos, Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio each trained individually, though each remains in doubt for Sunday. Zinedine Zidane told reporters Gareth Bale “twisted his ankle a bit” during Wednesday’s 3-1 Copa del Rey win over Unionistas de Salamanca and will likely not be involved in Week 21.

Guardiola, scorer of Valladolid’s most recent goal against Real, is his club’s top scorer in La Liga this term, despite only netting four times. Only two teams in La Liga have notched fewer than Valladolid’s 17 goals this season.
