The all-time champions look to build upon their first dominant performance of the season to keep up with their biggest rivals in the title race. However, their opponents are finally in high spirits after getting out of the relegation zone and are ready to make noise at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Real Madrid has been inconsistent all season and it was hard to find a game in which it dominated from start to finish. However, the 5-0 win against last place Leganés was a very encouraging sign for Zinedine Zidane and Madrid fans, despite the lack of quality from the opposition. Real never looked back after taking an early lead and kept attacking and looking for goals. Seeing young players like Rodrygo and Luka Jovic score, while veterans like Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos continue to impress is a positive sign for a team still looking for an ideal starting XI and a long run of good performances.
Madrid is back home this weekend looking to continue that run against Real Betis, another team struggling for points. Real Betis began the week in the relegation zone, but got out of it thanks to a big win at home over Celta Vigo. A team this talented should never be fighting against the drop, and Betis desperately needs a big result against a big team to turn their season around. There’s no better place to do it than the Bernabéu, where they’ve actually had success in recent seasons, so expect an intense matchup in the Spanish capital.
