It sounds almost crazy to say Real Madrid haven’t been good in La Liga this season since they’re top of the table with a tough schedule and remain the only unbeaten team in the league after 8 games, but even people within the Madrid camp agree that they’ve been lucky in many of their wins and their superior talent is the main reason why they’ve been able to pull off some big results. Zinedine Zidane is still being questioned for his ability to coach this team, and their Champions League form is proof that things aren’t exactly perfect at the Bernabéu.
But they keep winning, and if they do it this weekend they’ll arrive at Camp Nou next week with a chance to make a big early statement against Barcelona in the title race. Madrid can’t quite look ahead to El Clásico, though: Mallorca have won just two games this season but both have been at home, and they love to make it tough for the big teams. For Madrid, the big one is next week, but this is Mallorca’s biggest game of the season. This should be fun.
