How to Watch Panthers vs. Texans, NFL Live Stream, Schedule, TV Channel, Start Time

The Carolina Panthers (1-2) will hit the road and travel to Houston for their second road game in as many weeks, while the hometown Texans are trying to make it three wins in a row. The all-time series is tied at two, but the Panthers have won the last two matchups, including a 24-17 at home in 2015.

No Cam Newton at quarterback, no problem for the Carolina Panthers in a 38-20 win at Arizona last week. It marked the first win of the year for the team and the first start for Kyle Allen. Allen was brilliant under center and threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns. Christian McCaffrey, ranked second in the NFL rushing yards, added another 100+ yard game (153) to bring his total to 315 this season. Tight end Greg Olsen was on the receiving end of two Allen touchdown passes, while Curtis Samuel and D.J. Moore recorded the others.

The Panthers defense held Arizona to 173 yards passing and only 121 yards rushing. They currently rank fourth in the NFL in total defense with an average of 295.3 YPG allowed and second in pass defense at 166.3 YPG. Linebacker Luke Kuechly leads the NFL with 36 tackles and is a force to be reckoned with in the middle of the field.

In back to back weeks, it was a strong second half that propelled the Houston Texans to victory.  All three games have been decided by less than seven points, including last weekend’s, 27-20, victory over the Chargers on the road. Deshaun Watson threw for 351 yards and three touchdowns, with two of those coming to Jordan Akins in the third quarter. The rushing game was the worst of the season, as Houston produced a total of 39 yards.

The Texans have a formidable defensive front with Whitney Mercilus and J.J. Watt. Mercilus notched five tackles and one sack to bring his season total to five, which ranks fifth in the NFL. Watt also had five tackles and a pair of sacks in arguably his best game this year. As a unit, the defense was effectively productive on third down stops. The Chargers only converted five of their 15 attempts.
