How to watch Nicola Sturgeon's daily briefing live when BBC don't broadcast

Nicola Sturgeon's daily coronavirus briefings will no longer broadcast live following BBC Scotland's decision to scrap it from TV.

The First Minister gives updates on the pandemic to millions of people every day live from St. Andrew's House in Edinburgh.

The BBC announced last week it stop broadcasting the Scottish Government's updates, and instead show them based on their “news value”.

The decision was slammed by the public and prompted thousands to sign a petition calling for it to be reversed.

Nicola Sturgeon said daily briefings were "more important than ever" as infections soar, especially for vulnerable groups.

New lockdown restrictions come into force in Scotland today, which will be the last time the briefing is aired on BBC Scotland on a daily basis.

The BBC won't stop the briefings on television altogether, they will make the decision on daily basis to show the First Minister's statements.

How can viewers watch Nicola Sturgeon's coronavirus updates?

The BBC has said that it will keep streaming the briefings live on its news websites.

The updates will also be streamed on the Scottish Government's Twitter, which can be found at @scotgov.

First Ministers Questions, which occur once a week at 12.20pm on a Thursday, can also be watched on Scottish Parliament TV online.

You can view the briefing live below.
