The Seattle Seahawks travel to Minnesota to face the Vikings Sunday night in prime time. The game marks the 18th meeting between the two clubs in the preseason, with the Vikings holding the series lead at 9-8. The teams squared off last summer when Seattle fell to Minnesota 21-20.
Seattle will play some of its starters on the road, although reps could be limited to a series or two to shake off the rust.
“Get them out there, play a very familiar opponent, a good opponent,” offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer said this week. “We played them late in the year in the last year, so they’re always a great challenge and all that. Get those guys in and I guess it’s going to be nice to hit somebody else for this group.”
The game will be aired nationally on the NFL Network as the Sunday night matchup.
