This, of course, will not help their chances. Tonight’s hosts are already considerable underdogs, with just one win in their qualifying campaign to date. Naturally, those three points came at the expense of Andorra, the only team ranked lower than Latvia in Group K.
Latvia’s qualification hopes remain alive, if only just, and they could keep the ember glowing with a shock upset.
