How to watch Glasgow Warriors in the European rugby cup final against Toulon

Glasgow Warriors are due to play in the final of the EPCR against Toulon which will be played on Friday with thousands of fans expected to make the trip over the Irish sea.

This is a momentous occasion as Glasgow is the first Scottish professional rugby club to reach a European final with the game to be played in Dublin at the Aviva Stadium with a sell-out stadium expected.

Many Glaswegians are heading to Dublin, either to the match at the stadium or a pub to watch the gruelling competition unfold. But if you aren't lucky enough to be jetting off to the big game, here is how you can watch the game in Glasgow.

There are many ways that you can watch the match, from the comfort of your own home or watching it from the official supporters pub.

The late-night rugby game between Glasgow Warriors and Toulon will kick-off at 8pm on Friday night and will be streamed on BT Sport. You can watch it through the streaming service online or a sky box with many other options available.

Glasgow Warriors have also arranged for supporters to meet up to cheers on the team and enjoy the game together.

Fans can head to the Hilton in the city centre for free but they must register for the event before attending. They can also enjoy a 20% discount at the bar along with other benefits.

The club's official supporters bar, Old Schoolhouse at 287 Woodlands Road will be taking walk-ins for the event on the day. This is a popular sports bar which will be the place to be to watch the match and soak up the atmosphere of such an occasion.

If you are on the go and can't sit down and glue your eyes to a screen for a few hours, the match can also be followed by the Glasgow Warriors social media channels and also their match centre which can be found on their website.

The squad are heading to Glasgow Airport to jet off to Dublin this Thursday evening with a wave of supporters due to cheer them on.

The team has already been announced for the final with head coach, Franco Smith saying: "This week’s training has been highly competitive, with every player putting their hand up for selection and pushing each other forward.

“Toulon will provide a stern test, and they are a team that know how to play in finals rugby.

“We’re excited for the challenge that lies in wait and we know we need to be at our best in Dublin tomorrow night."

The game kicks-off, tomorrow, May 19, at 8pm and can be watched on BT Sport or followed on Glasgow Warriors match centre here.
