How to watch Equator on new channel Sky Nature in the UK

A brand new nature docuseries is arriving to our screens this month which is exploring one of the most extreme locations on the planet, the Equator.

The show, entitled Equator is airing on new channel Sky Nature, which launched in the UK back in May alongside Sky Documentaries.

The channels come at no extra cost to Sky customers, while non-Sky customers can watch the series with a NowTV Entertainment Pass, which will include every episode at once.

The series synopsis reads: "The Equator is not only the line that divides the Earth in two, it is also the climatic and evolutionary powerhouse of the world.

"Here the pace of evolution quickens, where the sun burns at its most intense. The Equator covers only five percent of the Earth’s surface but is home to 50 percent of its animal and plant species. This remarkable series will take us to the most extreme and diverse locations on the planet."

The series will examine animal and plant life in six of the world’s equatorial hotzones: The Rift Valley in Africa, the Amazon Basin, the peaks of the Andes, South-east Asia, Indo-Pacific and the Galapagos Islands.

Sky Nature is also home to originals like Wild Animal Babies which follows Patrick Aryee and a cast of baby animal characters as they face their first days, weeks and months on planet earth. Plus it includes Sky’s existing collection from national treasure David Attenborough.

The series will air weekly on Sky Nature, and be available all at once on Sky Q and NowTV via the Entertainment Pass.
