England will be searching for an eighth successive win when they kick off their latest Autumn Nations Series campaign against Australia today.
It has been an impressive 2025 so far for Steve Borthwick’s side, who won four out of five Six Nations matches to take the title race right down to the wire before then defying the absence of most of their best players on British and Irish Lions duty to clinch a memorable 2-0 summer series triumph in Argentina.

An experimental team also thrashed the USA despite weather delays to continue the feel-good factor for England, whose sparkling form is a far cry from last year, when they were narrowly edged out twice by New Zealand in the summer before going on to lose three out of four autumn internationals, their only win coming against Japan.
One of those defeats was inflicted by Australia, who pushed the Lions much closer than most people expected on home soil before finishing third after a mixed Rugby Championship campaign that featured a memorable comeback against South Africa but defeat to Argentina and more Bledisloe Cup misery dished out by the All Blacks.
The Wallabies are without several important European-based players for their latest trip to the Allianz Stadium, Twickenham due to this fixture falling outside of World Rugby’s official three-week international window, including influential duo Will Skelton and Len Ikitau.
