Channel 4 land Emma Raducanu's US Open final as British tennis player makes history
After they rooted for her at Wimbledon, many Brits are now well behind young tennis sensation Emma Raducanu once again now she has made history by reaching the final of the US Open.
Emma, who was ranked 153rd in the world last month, a career high for the 18-year-old, has yet to drop a set in the world famous tournament and sealed her place in the final after seeing off 17th seed Maria Sakkari in the semi final - 6-1, 6-4.
She will now play Canadian teenager Leylah Fernandez in Saturday's Open final, with Fernandez also upsetting the odds by reaching the final from her world ranking of 73rd.
Emma is the first British woman in 53 years to reach a Grand Slam final, the last being Virginia Wade.
And she has made history as the first qualifier, male or female, to make a Grand Slam final in the whole of the Open era.

Emma Raducanu's US Open final was due to be exclusively shown on Amazon Prime Video in the UK but at the last minute it has been confirmed the Channel 4 will air it from 8pm on Saturday.

Plenty of other athletes have been backing Emma ahead of her final with England football player Marcus Rashford tweeting: "Congrats @EmmaRaducanu what an achievement already!! Good luck this weekend we’re all be cheering you on back home."
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are also rooting for her, with William and Kate posting: "What an incredible achievement at this year's #USOpen @EmmaRaducanu. We will all be rooting for you tomorrow Wishing you the best of luck!"
