The five-time Ballon D'Or winner and the world's all-time record goalscorer gave the interview having already expressed his displeasure with the way he had been treated since his return. The 37-year-old claimed in the interview that there were people at the club attempting to force him out and that he had been 'betrayed'.

The interview comes at a pivotal time in the forward's career as he prepares to jet off to Qatar for the World Cup, which he will be attempting to win with his fifth attempt. The tournament starts next week, with a two part interview being broadcast throughout this week ahead of the tournament kicking off.
