Mankind is losing a global war against a deadly species in the new film, The Tomorrow War.
Chris Pratt stars in the upcoming sci-fi film which will be released on Amazon Prime on Friday, July 2.
Fans are used to seeing the star travelling through galaxies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but this film is all about time.
Chris, who plays family man Dan Forester, is drafted to fight in a future war where the fate of humanity relies on his ability to confront the past.
His quest comes from a group of time travellers who arrive from the year 2051, hoping they can win the global war against a deadly alien species.
The only hope for survival is for soldiers and civilians from the present to be transported to the future and join the fight.
The film is directed by Chris McKay and also stars Yvonne Strahovski, Oscar winner J.K. Simmons, Edwin Hodge and Sam Richardson.
