Manchester United are back in Premier League action and embark on a new journey in light of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal against Premier League leaders Chelsea.
A week is a long time in football and the Reds have witnessed it first hand after the Norwegian was sacked on Sunday and have faced multiple reports of managerial interest this week but Ralf Rangnick has agreed to take interim charge of United.
The 4-1 defeat in Hertfordshire last week was a dark day in the club's recent history adding to the sobering collapse to Liverpool and the defeat against Manchester City.
But Champions League qualification was secured in midweek as Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho fired past Villarreal to put their name in the hat for the next stage.
Whilst their attention diverts back onto domestic football, Michael Carrick - still in charge of team matters until Rangnick's arrival - will be looking to dent Chelsea's title push and hand Manchester United just their second win in two months.
The table-topping Londoners have been a breath of fresh air in the league under Thomas Tuchel and the German seems to have struck a chord with his side as their blend of defensive prowess and ruthless attacking nature adding the injection of their academy talents pitting them at the summit of the top-flight.
Just three points separate Chelsea and Manchester City with Liverpool breathing down their necks but Tuchel will be nervously awaiting the verdict on Ben Chilwell and N'Golo Kante who both limped out of their win over Juventus.
