It’s the start of a huge week for the Blues as they renew an old rivalry with Barcelona on the European stage before hosting a London derby against Premier League leaders Arsenal at the weekend.

Enzo Maresca’s side go into tonight’s clash on the back of a 2-0 win over Burnley, extending their unbeaten run to five games across all competitions in the process.
However, Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw by Qarabag in their last Champions League outing three weeks ago and will be keen to bolster their hopes of a top eight finish by beating the LaLiga holders.
Barcelona also drew their most recent European fixture, playing out a six-goal thriller against Club Brugge to sit outside the automatic round of 16 spots by a couple of points.
Chelsea and Barca have had many classic European battles down the years, though this will be the first meeting between the two sides since March 2018 and it’s fair to say plenty has changed during this period.
Given the philosophies of both Enzo Maresca and Hansi Flick, all signs point towards a thriller at Stamford Bridge.
