Klopp confirmed in his pre-match press conference that three more players have tested positive for Covid-19.
However, the Liverpool boss would not confirm the identity of the positive cases, despite Alisson Becker and Roberto Firmino being absent from the latest training session.
It has since been confirmed that Klopp himself has tested positive for Covid-19, and will not be in the dugout for the clash at Stamford Bridge.
Thiago Alcantara, Takumi Minamino, Harvey Elliott, Nat Phillips and Divock Origi will all be absent for the game due to injury.
Andy Robertson is unavailable due to this being the third and final match of his suspension.
For Chelsea, Timo Werner is in contention to start after returning to training on the back of his Covid-enforced absence.
N’Golo Kante could return to the team after injuring his knee against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
