How to watch Chelsea transfer target Jadon Sancho if Bundesliga returns behind closed doors

In news that was music to the ears of football fans, politicians in Germany yesterday earmarked a potential date for the restart of the Bundesliga season.

Proposals from the German Football Association suggest the game could return as early as May 9 with German Minister Marcus Soder saying that "a weekend with football is much more bearable than a weekend without football".

While there is yet to be any official confirmation, the news will also welcomed by broadcaster BT Sport.

The broadcaster - along with it's competitors - have been left in limbo over when their live sports coverage can resume.

BT's current Bundesliga deal, which was secured in 2017 and is scheduled to run through until the end of the 2020-21 season, may prove to be a shrewd piece of business as fans starved of action flock to get their football fix.

With nine games left to play in the Bundesliga season, there is still plenty to play for. Bayern Munich currently top spot with four points separating them from second placed Dortmund.

RB Leipzig and fourth placed Moechengladbach, five and six points off the pace respective, are also outside shots to lift the title.

According to this report in The Mirror, trial runs of training in small groups is already underway.

Germany Minister Marcus Soder described the current situation as a "tightrope walk", adding: "We now have to be careful not to overdo it or be frivolous."
