How to watch Champions League from 2027 with major new TV changes coming

TNT Sports has lost the rights to show the Champions League in the UK from 2027 after Paramount+ outbid their rival broadcaster in a deal worth more than £1billion.

TNT Sports will also lose the rights to broadcast Europa League and Conference League matches in the UK, with Sky Sports having secured an exclusive four-year deal starting in 2027.

The BBC will continue to show free-to-air Champions League highlights on Wednesday nights, sharing with Paramount+.

Meanwhile, Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that it will continue to broadcast the first-pick Tuesday match from the Champions League live in the UK.

TNT Sports - formerly BT Sport - has broadcast the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League in the UK since the start of the 2015/16 season, when they outbid both Sky Sports and ITV for the rights in a landmark deal in 2013.

Once Paramount’s bid to broadcast the Champions League in the UK is confirmed, it will mean that supporters will have to take out another subscription to watch Europe’s premier club competition.

In order to access all domestic and European football games from 2027, UK TV viewers would need subscriptions to four separate broadcasters, currently costing a combined £76.96 per month.

By 2027, Sky Sports (£34.99) will hold the rights to the Premier League, Carabao Cup, EFL, Europa League and Conference League.

TNT Sports (£30.99) will have the rights to the Premier League and the FA Cup. Meanwhile, Amazon Prime Video (£8.99) and Paramount+ (£4.99) will hold the rights to the Champions League.

The agreement will come into place ahead of the 2027/28 season, with Paramount's contract running for four years.
