How to watch Brentford vs Arsenal on TV: Live stream details, kick-off time & team news

With an action-packed summer of sports, the wait for the new football season hasn't felt as drawn out as normal.

This statement may be contested by Brentford fans, however, who would argue their wait for top-flight football has been long enough.

The 2-0 win over Swansea in the Championship play-off final this past May confirmed their status as a member of the country's highest division for the first time since the 1946-47 season.

First up for Thomas Frank's side is Arsenal, who will be looking for considerable improvement on last season's 8th placed finish.

How to watch Brentford v Arsenal

The Bees versus The Gunners will kick off the 2021/22 Premier League calendar this coming Friday, August 13.

Coverage of the game will start on Sky Sports Premier League from 7pm. Kick-off is at 8pm.

If you're not a Sky Sports subscriber, you can check out the pre-season offers they have available on the Sky online shop.

Brentford v Arsenal team news

Brentford's star striker Ivan Toney should be given the all-clear after missing their 2-1 pre-season win over Valencia.

The man who scored the winner in that game, Frank Onyeka, is in contention to start. Summer signing Kristoffer Ajer is also in line to be handed his Premier League debut.

On the subject of debuts, Mikel Arteta is likely to give his own summer centre-back signing the nod. Ben White arrived for a fee of around £50m from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Gunners will be without the services of both Gabriel and midfield enforcer Thomas Partey, the latter suffering an ankle injury in the pre-season defeat to Chelsea.

Young striker Eddie Nketiah is also currently a doubt.
