Bolton Wanderers begin the 2020/21 season in the Carabao Cup.
The competition will provide the first competitive fixture for the Trotters under new boss Ian Evatt.
It will also be the first time since Bolton have kicked a ball in anger in a competitive fixture since mid-March when they played Burton Albion in a 2-2 draw at the Pirelli Stadium in League One.
Games have been postponed in League One and Two since then due to the coronavirus pandemic, except for the play-offs last season.
Matches in the 2020/21 campaign will kick off behind closed doors initially, with hopes that fans will be allowed to attend matches in limited numbers and observing social distancing measures in the weeks to come.
But before Wanderers begin their quest for promotion from League Two, they begin their season in the Carabao Cup first round.

The game between Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City kicks off at 3pm on Saturday, September 5, behind closed doors at the University of Bolton Stadium.

The game has not been selected by Sky Sports for coverage of the first round matches in the Carabao Cup.
The match is also being played behind closed doors and supporters are not permitted to attend.

What happened the last time Wanderers played Bradford?
These two sides last locked horns last season in the group stage of the EFL Trophy.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw after Dennis Politic's early goal was cancelled out by Paudie O'Connor after half-time.
The result was decided on penalties with the Bantams emerging with a 4-3 victory in the shootout.
