Yarde has been defeated by both Sergey Kovalev and Artur Beterbiev in previous bouts, and he fights the American in Riyadh looking to take his belt.
Since then, ‘The Beast from the East’ has beaten Jorge Silva and Marko Nikolic by knockout, before a points victory over Ralfs Vilcans.
He defeated Lyndon Arthur in his most recent run-out on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn’s first fight.
Benavidez is 30-0 in his professional career, and has been WBC champion since Dmitry Bivol vacated the belt back in April.
Elsewhere on this card, Devin ‘The Dream’ Haney faces Brian Norman Jr, the WBO welterweight champion, with Haney, the WBC super-lightweight belt-holder, seeking to become a three-weight champion.
The WBO lightweight title is on the line for Sam Noakes and Abdullah Mason, while Jesse Rodriguez takes on Fernando Martinez for the WBC, WBA and IBF super-flyweight titles.
