How to watch Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2025: live stream F1 race from anywhere today, Verstappen on pole

Red Bull car at Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2023.

This weekend's Azerbaijan Grand Prix live streams see Australia's Oscar Piastri going for back-to-back wins in Baku as he seeks to extend his lead in the drivers' standings of the 2025 Formula 1 season.

While McLaren are virtually assured the constructors crown again, the second half of the season is developing into a two-horse race between its two drivers. Lando Norris trimmed three points off Piastri's lead last time out in Italy, and will now be desperate to reach the podium for the first time in Azerbaijan and make another dent in the 31-point deficit — the race takes place at 7 a.m. ET / 12 p.m. BST today.

He may be four-time world champion and he's fresh off yet another victory in Monza, but it's hard to now imagine Max Verstappen challenging for the title. He'll be buoyed, though, at his Red Bull's performance two weeks ago and took his tally of career pole positions to 46 during Saturday's chaotic qualifying session. It left Norris and Piastri starting from 7th and 9th respectively, with the unlikely vision of Carlos Sainz Jnr's Williams starting alongside Verstappen on the front row.

So, that's how to watch the Azerbaijan Grand Prix and all the race timings sorted. Now here's some F1 Azerbaijan GP FAQs for everything else you want to know about the upcoming race.

Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2025 circuit

The 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix takes place over 51 laps of the 6.003-kilometre Baku City Circuit on Sunday, September 21.

Baku joined the F1 calendar back in 2016, as the European Grand Prix. It is the fourth-longest circuit on the Formula One calendar after Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Jeddah Street Circuit and Las Vegas Strip Circuit

The street circuit combines a vast straight with tight, twisty corners that wind their way through Baku's medieval city walls. The lack of run off areas means that a puncture or mechanical failure could be fatal.

When is the next race?

The next Formula 1 race after the Azerbaijan GP is the Singapore Grand Prix at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. It takes place in two weeks' time on Sunday, September 5.

Who won the 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix?

Oscar Piastri of McLaren won the 2024 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, finishing more than 10 seconds ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in second and 30 seconds ahead of Mercedes' George Russell in third.

What is the lap record at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix?

Charles Leclerc holds the race lap record with a time of 1:43.009, which he set at the 2019 Azerbaijan GP.

Azerbaijan Grand Prix winners

Over the course of its seven runnings, Sergio Perez remains the only repeat winner of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix (2021, 2023). Lewis Hamilton (2018) and Max Verstappen both have one win each to their names (2022).
