Likely to be the biggest Apple event of the year, ’Awe dropping’ showcase is taking place today (that's September 9 in the UK and US at the time of writing).

How to watch the iPhone 17 ’Awe dropping’ launch showcase
Apple’s ‘Awe dropping’ event starts at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST on Tuesday, September 9; that’s 3am on September 10 for those in the AEST time zone.
Much like last year, the showcase will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park, where our Editor-at-Large Lance Ulanoff and US Managing Editor of News Jacob Krol will be boots on the ground reporting.
Apple’s YouTube page (see above) for the event is already live, so you can head there to sign up for the livestream and get notifications for when it kicks off.

What to expect from the Apple September event
- iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus: expect a new chip, new colors, iOS 26 out of the box.
- iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max: new A19 Pro chip, a tweaked camera design, upgraded telephoto camera, vapor chamber cooling.
- iPhone 17 Air: a super-slim phone that could replace the iPhone 17 Plus, if it does actually happen.
- Apple Watch 11: potential tweaked design, new chip, blood oxygen monitoring, a whole lot of AI
- Apple Watch Ultra 3: new chip, satellite connectivity, and high-blood-pressure detection.
- AirPods Pro 3: IR sensors for gesture control, health tracking features, new chipset, and of course improved audio quality.
