Andy Samberg's Palm Springs is the latest film to be released onto streaming platforms instead of having a cinema release.
It also stars Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother), Peter Gallagher (The OC) and J.K. Simmons and follows two strangers who meet at a Palm Springs wedding only to get stuck in a time loop.
The film was trending on Twitter across the weekend after it was released digitally in the US on streaming platform Hulu.
It became the service's biggest film of all time, with more views in its first three days than any other film in Hulu's history and received positive reviews from critics.
Originally premiering at Sundance Film Festival back in January it was set to be released in cinemas, which were forced to close due to the coronvairus pandemic.
A number of films were released digitally in the UK following cinema closures including The Invisible Man, Pixar's Onward and Scoob.
While big blockbusters like Black Widow, Mulan and Tenet have all been pushed back indefinitely with the hopes of a release in the cinema rather than through digital platforms.
It's not yet known what date Palm Springs will be released in the UK, but it's likely to follow other big releases and be available on pay-per-view services like Amazon and Sky Box Office.
