How to watch and live stream Newcastle United at Brentford in Carabao Cup

Newcastle United are two wins away from Wembley as they gear up for their Carabao Cup quarter-final tie with Brentford.

The Magpies take on the Bees from the Championship for a place in the last four of the competition.

Newcastle have so far knocked out Blackburn Rovers, Morecambe and - last time out - Newport County, who they edged past on penalties.

Brentford, who are fourth in the Championship table, have seen off three Premier League teams out of the cup - Southampton, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham - as well as Wycombe Wanderers.

Team news

Newcastle United duo Allan Saint-Maximin and Jamaal Lascelles have been missing from the last few games after contracting Covid-19, club sources have confirmed.

The club captain and talented winger are now going through the Premier League's protocol for recovery. Both players are believed to have suffered badly from the virus and have been unable to train or play.

Saint-Maximin, Lascelles, Emil Krafth, Isaac Hayden and Fedrerico Fernandez are all on the list of players who the virus has affected after an outbreak of Covid after the international break in November.

Brentford have defender Ethan Pinnock available after suspension and midfielder Christian Norgaard is in contention following an ankle injury.

Pontus Jansson, Shandon Baptiste and Mads Roerslev Rasmussen are all sidelined by injury.
