How to watch 'Amandaland' season 2 online from anywhere — stream for free

'Amandaland' season 2.

One of the BBC's sharpest recent comedies is back, and "Amandaland" season 2 looks set to push Amanda further into the kind of social chaos she usually creates for herself.

You can watch "Amandaland" online from anywhere with a VPN (try risk-free) – and potentially for free.

'Amandaland' season 2 release date and time

All six episodes of "Amandaland" season 2 will be available as a box set on BBC iPlayer from the morning of Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

• WATCH FREE — BBC iPlayer (U.K.)
• Watch anywhere — try NordVPN 100% risk free

The “Motherland” spin-off returns with Lucy Punch’s status-obsessed heroine still living in SoHa, still trying to turn her ‘Sensuous’ lifestyle brand into something meaningful, and still navigating motherhood on her own terms.

This time, Amanda is dealing with teenage exams and the school prom while also fixating on a ‘Big House’ in the area, which tells you almost everything you need to know about her priorities. Her relationship with neighbour Mal also becomes more complicated with the arrival of his no-nonsense ex-wife, Abs, while Pam Ferris joins the cast as Elspeth, a frail neighbour with a very desirable home.

Joanna Lumley and Philippa Dunne are both back, and the BBC is dropping the whole season as a box set on launch day, so you won’t need to pace yourself unless you want to.

Expectations are fairly high, too, with season 1 proving a hit and the 2025 Christmas special reportedly becoming the UK’s most-watched comedy episode of the year.

Watch 'Amandaland' season 2 from anywhere

Traveling and blocked from your usual apps? A VPN, or virtual private network, lets your device appear to be back in your home country so you can securely use your existing subscriptions while abroad.

We have tested many options, and the best VPN available right now is NordVPN. It delivers fast, reliable connections and works on most devices. You can try it risk-free for 30 days thanks to its money-back guarantee.

Using a VPN is simple.

1. Install the VPN app on the device you’ll watch on. NordVPN is our pick.

2. Connect to a server in your home country. For example, choose a UK server to access BBC iPlayer while abroad.

3. Open your streaming app and play as normal.

In the U.K., "Amandaland" season 2 launches on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. All six episodes will land on BBC iPlayer that morning, and each episode will air on BBC One at 9 p.m. every Wednesday until June 17.

If you need to catch up first, BBC iPlayer also already carries "Amandaland" series 1 and the 2025 Christmas special.

If you’re temporarily outside the U.K., you’ll likely need a VPN to access BBC iPlayer just as you would at home. For this setup, we recommend NordVPN.

There is also no confirmed Canadian release date for "Amandaland" season 2 right now. As with the U.S., the currently announced rollout only covers the BBC launch in the U.K.

If you’re a Brit in the Great White North for work or on holiday and would prefer to stick with your usual U.K. streaming setup, you can watch via your normal services by using a VPN such as NordVPN.

Australia is the one market with a more obvious likely landing spot, even if nothing official has been announced for season 2 yet. Season 1 streamed on Stan and arrived there just one day after the U.K. premiere, so Stan is the platform to watch.

For now, though, there is no confirmed Australian premiere date for "Amandaland" season 2.

If you’re a Brit working or on holiday Down Under and want to keep using your usual U.K. streaming services, you can still catch the show with a VPN like NordVPN.
