Two teams on the opposite side of the NFC hierarchy will clash in Week 7 of the NFL season. While the San Francisco 49ers will look to keep their perfect start intact, the Washington Redskins are hoping to build on their first victory of the 2019 season.

San Francisco earned a surprising win in their last game, shutting down the potent Los Angeles Rams offense in a 20-7 victory. The Niners held LA to just 157 yards of total offense and kept Rams quarterback Jared Goff under 80 yards passing for the contest. The Niners kept the ball for nearly 39 of the game’s 60 minutes, a staple of a run-oriented attack that has averaged over 175 yards per game on the season.
Washington, meanwhile, got their first victory by getting the better of the still winless Miami Dolphins. After getting out to a 17-3 lead, Washington needed a stop on a last-minute two-point conversion attempt to seal their 17-16 win. Terry McLaurin had four catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the win and will likely need to come up big for Washington if they are to put the Niners in danger of suffering their first loss on the year.
Washington’s run defense has struggled this season, giving up 134 yards per game this season. The Niners will look to take advantage of that weakness, as Washington looks to forge an identity following the end of the Jay Gruden era.
