One of the biggest nights of the British sporting calendar is nearly upon as the BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2025 takes centre stage.
Keely Hodgkinson took home the main award last year and now the public are set to crown the best sportsperson of 2025 from a relatively brand new six-person shortlist.
Rory McIlroy is the current favourite with the bookmakers, ahead of new formula one world champion Lando Norris and teenage darts sensation Luke Littler - who was up for the award 12 months ago.
Lionesses pair Chloe Kelly and Hannah Hampton and Rugby Union star Ellie Kildunne complete the nominees.
How to vote for BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2025
It's all to play for ahead of Thursday night's ceremony, which starts at 7pm GMT and will be broadcast on BBC One.
Voting begins during the ceremony, with votes cast online with a BBC account, via telephone or by scanning a QR code which will be displayed on the screen during the show.
If voting by phone, there will be a different phone number for each nominee.

TV channel: BBC One will broadcast the ceremony live and free-to-air in the UK. Coverage starts at 7pm GMT, with the winner expected to be announced before 9pm.
Live stream: The BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer will also air SPOTY online for free.
