While not a legal requirement, you should check ahead of time to see if you will have to provide proof of your Covid-19 status.

If you do have to provide proof, the NHS app has you covered with its easy-to-use interface.

How to set up the NHS app

You can download the NHS app from the App Store on iPhone or the Google Play Store on Android devices.

Once downloaded you can log in to the app and enter all your personal details.

If you've received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine the app will automatically display this as it's linked to the NHS' records.

Covid-19 Pass for major events

An NHS Covid Pass can be used to show your vaccination status and any coronavirus test results you've taken- the NHS have a specific Covid Pass app for this purpose.

To get a Covid Pass, you must either be fully vaccinated two weeks prior to the event, have a negative PCR test within the past 48 hours, or a positive PCR test within the past six months.

Note that the Covid Pass is not available for children under the age of 16.
