Fortnite has many unique quests you can tackle to claim lots of XP and quickly make your way through the battle pass. These missions often challenge you to interact with gameplay elements you might not be familiar with, though, like the Hammerhead Choppa loudspeakers.
One quest you'll encounter while working through your weekly tasks is to use loudspeakers on the Hammerhead Choppa within 100 meters of a player. Even if you've flown one of these vehicles around before, there's still a decent chance you might not know how to use this feature, so here's how to use the loudspeakers on the Hammerhead Choppa in Fortnite.
Use loudspeakers on the Hammerhead Choppa within 100 meters of a player in Fortnite
To complete the use loudspeakers on the Hammerhead Choppa within 100 meters of a player quest, you need to find a Hammerhead Choppa, drive it, locate an enemy player, and select the loudspeaker button once you're within 100 meters of them. There are quite a few steps to this process, but it's fairly easy to get done once you know what you're doing, so here's a full breakdown of how to complete it.
- Find a Hammerhead Choppa. There are only a few present around the island, so start by visiting one of the Hammerhead Choppa spawn locations. You can find this ship around OXR locations, including main POIs like OXR HQ and smaller Landmark areas like Infested Outposts.
- Enter the ship. Approach a Hammerhead Choppa and press the interact button. On PC, this button is E, while on PlayStation and Xbox, it's Square. Once you get close to this vehicle, the button will be displayed right by it, too, to help make using it even easier.
- Find an enemy player. Some quests can be completed using any opponent around the island, even NPCs, but this one specifies a player, so you must locate one around the island to tackle this task. Try flying over popular POIs like Dystopia City, The Hive, OXR HQ, Supernova Academy, and Ranger's Ruin. Spots near the middle of the map are also generally more populated. Most of the named POIs marked on the map are likely to have at least a few players wandering around.
- Fly within 100 meters of them. Get fairly close to an enemy player since you must be within 100 meters to tackle this task. You don't have to be right in their face, but you do need to be within a decent radius, so just get as close to them as you can to make sure you get this one done.
- Activate the loudspeaker. While piloting the Hammerhead Choppa, press the loudspeaker button. It varies by platform but is always displayed in the bottom left corner, right above your health and shield bars, to make getting this quest done easier.
If you're having trouble finding a player while soaring through the sky in this massive ship, consider just activating the loudspeaker randomly as you fly around. I wasn't having much luck finding players, so I just kept turning it on as I flew around and eventually got it done without knowing I was within range of an enemy player.
You can also look and listen for sounds of fighting around the island to head into them and blast the loudspeaker. Generally, getting this task done is fairly easy as long as you manage to find a player to play the speaker for.
