How to use a GPS Locator in Sons of the Forest
Right after you collect it and equip it in your hand, you can right-click and switch between the different icons.
You can even use it as a beacon and mark a specific location on the map. To do that, follow the steps below:
- Equip a stick and hold it.
- Right-click on your mouse.
- Place the stick vertically.
- Place the GPS locator on top of it.
Doing that will make the GPS Locator a stationary marker on the map. It comes in handy if you want to come back to that particular location later down the line, maybe to explore a cave and defeat bosses,
How to craft a GPS Locator
The best thing about the GPS Locator is that you can also craft it. To do that, you have to collect the following ingredients:
- A 3D-Printed GPS Case
- 1x Wire
- 1x Circuit Board
- 1x Batteries
You can craft one, equip it to a stick, and hand it over to Virginia to keep track of her whereabouts. That’s because, unlike Kevin, she joins your team later but doesn’t come equipped with a GPS Locator.
