How to Unlock Peepa in Mario Kart World

Peepa is not only the cutest but also the most challenging character to unlock in Mario Kart World. This is because the game doesn’t mention a straightforward task or some milestone that one can track to unlock this adorable ghost.

As a result, the majority of players focus on aimless progression, hoping to unlock Peepa somehow. While one can continue for hours and grind their way to this character, most people give up halfway through the process. Luckily, we have just the guide for you. To save a ton of time, here’s everything you need to know for unlocking Peepa in Mario Kart World.

Things To Prepare

Before diving into the actual procedure, you need to prepare a couple of things. The first step is to start the 2P multiplayer mode and pair either a controller or both of your Joy-Cons. The reason for utilizing the couch co-op feature is to minimize the hurdles and jump straight to the unlocking part. Once done, select VS Race mode, choose any of the characters or vehicles, and use the following race settings:

  • Class: 150cc
  • Teams: No Teams
  • Items: Normal
  • COM Difficulty: No Com
  • Course Selection: Open
  • Race Count: 32 Races

Again, there is no computer difficulty to minimize distractions, allowing us to focus entirely on Peepa. After adjusting the race settings, hover over the map, select Boo Cinema, and start the dummy race.

Here comes the important part. Once the race begins, control any of the characters and lead them to a conveyor belt-looking film reel rotating at the right-hand side of the track.

Be careful now, as you don’t want to get sucked into the other side of the map. Ensure you maintain a safe distance from this belt and park your vehicle as close to the edge as possible.

Leave it as it is and take command of your second character. Drive around the track and try for the Kamek Orb, the one with PlayStation-like symbols on it. This can take a couple of tries until you finally get one, so be patient with retries.

Once you are all set and ready to proceed, follow the steps below:

  • Position the second character slightly behind when both of the curves end.
  • Fire the Kamek Orb.

When the orb hits your other character, who is resting on the belt’s edge, they’ll turn into Peepa. After that, the character is available for you to use in future events. To confirm your unlock, ensure you complete the race to avoid losing your progress.
