Heroes in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road are rare characters that bring unique skills and boosted stats to the field — impactful enough, however, only two Heroes can be fielded in a squad. Since they’re hard to come by, acquiring them is a big deal.
There are several ways to acquire Heroes: from Chronicle Mode’s Player Universe feature to the intense Hero battles. This guide covers the best ways to unlock meta heroes. So, let’s dive in and slot a Hero in your team.
Player Universe
You can access Player Universe from the Chronicle Mode menu. In here, you can trade five Bond Stars for a pack of 12 character spirits. The spirits obtained depend on the constellation you choose, as each one is tied to a different set of characters — some of which include Heroes. The constellation you pick decides which hero you have a chance at acquiring.
You need to stack enough Hero Spirits to unlock a Hero character. So, use the search feature to filter constellations with the Heroes you’re after, and keep spending Bond Stars on them in order to progress.
How To Earn Bond Stars
Earning Bond Stars isn’t that hard either: ranked and online lobby matches reward you with five when you finish a game, regardless of winning or losing. You can also earn a few Bond Stars by winning Rare Drops and Hero Battles in Chronicle Mode.
Unlocking them takes time and a good amount of Bond Stars, but it’s still a solid path to acquiring those rare Heroes.
Hero Battles

You can also acquire Hero Spirits through Hero Battles in the Chronicle Mode. However, you have to win the node’s Chronicle, Route Unlock, and Rare Drop Battles before you can access Hero Battles.
Once you’ve done that, you can compete in Hero Battles, which give you a chance at earning Hero spirits if you win. However, the odds are pretty low, and the fights themselves are challenging (Usually level 50+). So, you’re going to need a strong enough lineup if you expect to win these battles.
You can check which Heroes are available and their odds by simply hovering over an unlocked Hero Battle and selecting the Check Drop Rates tab at the bottom of the screen. Since the chances are low, you’ll probably need to win quite a few of these battles before you land the Hero spirit you’re after
Spirit Market
You can also purchase Hero Spirits directly from the in-game Spirit Market, which can be accessed via the Marketplace. This is where you can exchange Legendary Spirits for Hero Spirits, so make sure to check out what’s available on the Marketplace before trading your Legendary Spirits for characters. You might want to hold on to them for a specific Hero you’re after.
