How to spot these stunning vintage buses as they make their way round Edinburgh this weekend

This weekend a local bus company will be driving a fleet of iconic vintage buses through the city to lift spirits across Edinburgh.

The 'Shoppabus tour', run by the Gifford Transport Group, will see around 15 different historic buses and coaches tour through the city centre and bring a bit of history back to life.

Although it will not be possible to travel on the buses due to current coronavirus restrictions, locals have been invited to line the streets and catch a glimpse of some of the vintage vehicles.

Starting on Saturday (September 26), the fleet will be scooting around the city centre from 11am until 3pm and will follow the route of the old service six 'shoppabus'.

Beginning at North Bridge, the buses will head over South Bridge and towards Nicolson Square, before heading along Lauriston Place and down Lothian Road.

Featured in the line up will be some vintage red buses, 1960s style coaches and the ex Eastern and Lowland Scottish vehicles.
