Managing a team can be time-consuming, especially when you need to sit through every single match. And when a game is built entirely around managing your own football team, best believe that after a while, watching every match unfold can become jarring. Thankfully, this is where simulation comes in.
In Football Manager 26, simulation allows you to skip matches and training periods. Skip days, weeks, or even entire seasons without the headache of things going awry. Today, we’ll be talking about how you can simulate seasons in Football Manager 26 while pre-selecting each decision to be made. We’ll also cover the Deeper Simulation feature released by FM26.
Simulate Days And Seasons In Football Manager 26

I won’t take up much of your time, and get straight to the point; that’s the whole point of this article, right? Here’s how to simulate time in FM26:
- Open your FM26 save and go to My Profile/manager menu
- Scroll over to the Go On Holiday option
- After clicking on it, you’ll see several presets, including the duration of the holiday and the delegation of club duties
- Set your desired duration and confirm the holiday. After this, the game will automatically start simulating your career.
As we mentioned, this can be done for days, weeks, or even seasons. The game will simulate matches, transfers, trainings, injuries, etc, while you’re away. The best part is that any situation that comes up during the simulation will be handled according to your settings. This means you still have a big say in how things are handled, even on holiday.
And don’t worry if you’re unemployed. Set up responses to job offers and let the game take care of any incoming job offers the way you want. As soon as the holiday duration ends, you can come back and view all the changes to your squad and management. This is a great way to speedrun your career without having to sit through every match and transfer window.
Tips For Simulating MyCareer
Simulating sounds fun and super easy, but there are some things you should be cautious of. Make sure you delegate as many duties as possible before leaving, and don’t leave anything important up to chance. This could cause you to lose good players or reject favourable offers.
If you’re not comfortable simulating an entire season, start by simulating a few days first to see how it goes. This allows you to check in between and observe how things are handled. It is preferable not to leave the simulation on for too long, as it could be detrimental to your career. Any changes made by the AI during the simulation cannot be reversed. That is why it’s important to select a response for every situation before going on holiday.
What Is Deeper Simulation In FM26?
Deeper Simulation is a feature in conjunction with simulating seasons. You can now simulate up to five leagues (other than your own) at once without any drawbacks. FM26 allows you to view any of your simulations to check results, injuries, and transfer offers. Having six different leagues running at once can get pretty stressful, but if you’re down for the challenge, it adds another layer of fun.
The one thing that players should remember is that the more leagues you’ve loaded in your save, the longer the simulation will take. This is because the game has to run multiple simulations together while storing data from each league. If you’re having issues running the simulation, it’s preferable to leave your device open for a few hours so the simulation can progress smoothly.
