How to share your Amazon Prime with another non-Prime account holder for free

Just like Netflix , it seems Amazon will also let you share your Prime subscriptions with your loved ones - and even better, you won't even need to tell them your password!

By adding a family member under your "Amazon Household", you'll be able to share the tech giant's speedy delivery service and video channels with one of your lucky loved ones for free.

Essentially, you can link up two separate Amazon accounts with different payment methods and addresses, but only one account out of the pair pays for the Prime membership.

While the shared benefits include Prime Delivery, Prime Now, Prime Video, Prime Reading and AmazonFresh grocery delivery (should the Prime member paying have the Fresh Add-On), it sadly won't include Prime Music.

A standard Prime membership costs £7.99 per month, or £59 for the year right now, thanks to a Prime Day discount.

The offer was originally spotted by a bargain hunter on deals forum hotukdeals, where a member said "My wife piggybacks off her sisters prime", with the useful tip was unsurprisingly met with lots of excited comments.

To set up an Amazon Household, go to the Amazon Household main page, where you'll be able to link up with one extra adult account that can be anyone from your other half to your best friend.

It won't work on student accounts though (AFP)

There's no word on how long this feature has been available for, but it may prove handy for those households who are paying for more than one subscription.

Sadly, it seems that the same deal doesn't apply to student prime, likely due to the fact that the Amazon Prime Student subscription is half the price of standard, costing you just £3.99 per month.
