How to send a free card to NHS staff to show your support during coronavirus pandemic

NHS staff are risking their lives on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic each day, in attempt to save others.

Across the UK a number of powerful acts of kindness for NHS workers have been seen, with people clapping each Thursday at 8pm, giving up parking spaces and doing whatever they can to help.

If you've been wanting to show your support, card retailer Scribbler have come up with an easy way for you to do this and the best part is that it's completely free.

Over the last 2 weeks, the business has seen card sales quadruple, proving the nation is striving to keep connected, reverting back to the most simple communication mediums of all.

As such, Scribbler want to give everyone the chance to send a ‘Thank You’ message to any key worker(s) of their choice, at no cost at all, with post and packaging included.

Frances Tilstone, of Scribbler, said: "We crave to feel close to the people we care about. Now more than ever, the simple act of sending something tangible like a card or gift to a loved one can completely brighten their outlook and say, 'We’re still here. You have not been forgotten'."

So how do you do it?

  1. Log on to  www.scribbler.com/Cards/Thank-You-NHS  and pick a card
  2. Pick who you’d like to thank - the entire staff at your local hospital, your GP practice, the doctor who treated your friend, the postman, your grocery delivery driver, your family member’s care home… it’s entirely up to you
  3. Add your personalised message in the card and ‘add to basket’
  4. Enter the delivery address and promo code  ‘THANKYOUNHS’  and off it goes
  5. Share your message via social media to spread the word using  #RandomActOfCardness  and help spread the kind messages of gratitude

If you're not sure where to send your card, here are some health service address listings which could come in handy.

And while it is totally free, there are still a few terms and conditions for you to follow.

The offer is limited to one card per person and only applies to cards featured in the 'Thank you NHS' category (standard size only) while socks last.

Any malicious or harmful messages will not be sent and this offer is only applicable to UK addresses.
